NGC2024
The Flame
Nebula, NGC 2024 is
located near the left star in Orion's belt. This composite
image is made up a lot of
raw
images, the most I have combined yet, 25 images of LRGB totaling
32:9:9:9 minutes. The resulting image shows great detail in the
structure of the nebula. The ghostly blue semi-circle at
the bottom is the star Alnitak (the belt star), which is just outside
of the field of view and extremely bright. This set of images was
taken on Febuary 11, 2004.
